CURIOSITY. DEVOTION. CONNECTION
There is something devotional in the discipline of sustained practice, in returning, again and again, to what asks for our attention, and allowing that practice to take many shapes over the seasons of a lifetime.
For Andrea, that practice has always been rooted in yoga, nature, meditation, plants, herbs, and a lifelong relationship with the ocean. Every degree, certification, apprenticeship, year abroad, and season at home has returned to the same thread: a curiosity about the mystery of what is alive around us, how it is interconnected, and what it can teach us about how to live.
Her work as a yoga teacher, Ayurvedic practitioner, and holistic wellness guide has been shaped by more than 25 years of study, teaching, apprenticeship, and lived experience. Yoga has been a constant thread through a path that has unfolded into a lifelong exploration of the relationship between human health and the natural world.
Andrea holds a BA in Biological Anthropology and a Certification in Exercise Science and Fitness from the University of California, San Diego, as well as an interdisciplinary MA in Asian Studies from the University of Hawaiʻi. Her graduate research explored the connections between human and ecological health and the systems that shape both. Her studies across biology, anthropology, ecology, and Asian traditions have continued to deepen her interest in the intricate interdependence of human, cultural, and ecological health, the subtle and the tangible, the individual and the collective, all woven into the larger web of life.
Ayurveda offers a framework for understanding individual nature, health, and balance within this larger context. Rather than viewing the body as separate from its surroundings, it invites an awareness of the rhythms, elements, relationships, and environments that continually shape us.
Alongside formal degrees, Andrea has trained in Thai massage, Chi Nei Tsang, herbal medicine, functional nutrition, conscious connected breathwork, and is a board certified integrative health coach. She has guided retreats and trainings in Mexico, Hawai'i, California, Bali, and beyond.
Her deepest work is in helping people return - to their bodies, to their nature, to the natural world,
and to the rhythms that support a life of greater connection, vitality, belonging and balance
