ANDREA  ARRIAGA

I have been teaching yoga privately and to groups internationally and in the US for over 20 years. I am a 500 E-RYT and have apprenticed Shadow Yoga for over a decade with Shadow yoga instructor and accupuncturist Matt Pesendian.

I have a range of healing arts and professional certifications and experiences, including Pilates, Personal Training, Thai Massage Therapy, Meditation and Breath-work, Essential Oil Education and Nutrition. I maintained my certification in  Exercise Science and Fitness and my BA in Biological anthropology from UC San Diego, while also studying ecology and anthropology in Thailand. I continued to do graduate work in ecology and anthropology, which was completed at the University of Hawai'i where I focused my research on the links between ecological, personal, spiritual and social health. I draw on modern and traditional science and wisdom to highlight ways in which self care can be a tool for personal and planetary healing and enable us to share our gifts to the world and uplift one another. I specialize in Ayurvedic lifestyle, nutrition and detox and various holistic healing arts modalities.

After college I left my employment in public health and biological research in a continued pursuit of sharing yoga and working directly with individuals in aiding them to develop holistic health awareness and practices. I truly believe in the evolutionary and revolutionary value of holistic health practiced at a personal level.

I spent over a decade living in the jungles of Mexico where I apprenticed and worked in an Ayurvedic center specializing in extensive Panchakarma (Ayurvedic detox for cleansing and nourishing.) I have worked as  Ayurvedic chef and therapist,  have worked alongside Ayurvedic and allopathic doctors and traditional indigenous healers offering various healing modalities. My work includes educating others on learning to blend and use essential oils and herbs and the use of daily nutrition and practices for optimizing health and wellness.  During my years in Mexico I also taught privately and in studios, ran yoga and surf retreats for Via Yoga, and served as the in-house yoga instructor, Thai massage therapist and Ayurvedic therapist at internationally renowned Haramara Retreat Center.

I use my diverse background  to help clients find balance and health, using natural remedies while taking a practical, simple holistic and seasonal approach to wellness.  I’m a passionate healer and guide, dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional and spiritual transitions in simple, effective & intuitive ways. My intention is that through sharing yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition and natural solutions my clients will feel more balanced, connected, empowered and at ease.

My sessions  can be done in person or remotely. I'll specifically tailor them to your needs or group to ensure you receive the tools that works best for you. I have worked with 100's of individual privately and 1000's in groups and have seen very powerful results mentally and physically with clients struggling with weight, anxiety, depression, addiction, injury, infertility, immune depression, inflammation, insomnia and various imbalances. I share my passion and gifts through my offerings. Time and again I have seen the incredible healing and profound results created through daily practices and simple shifts and would love to help you connect back in with your highest self and greatest potential for health and joy.

Please contact me to find out more and start on a beautiful heart path of healing and connection.

Aloha y Paz,

Andrea
